BCTI helped me realize my identity in Christ Jesus. I have a background in the occult and engaged in New Age practices for years. Eventually I renounced New Age and repented of my sins. Even though I turned my life around and chose Christ, I still felt shame for what I did in New Age and for all of the sinful bad decisions I had made in the years past. For years I was captive to my thoughts and emotions and would struggle with that shame privately because I didn’t feel I could tell anyone for fear of being judged and rejected. It definitely affected how I viewed myself, and how I thought others viewed me — as inferior and worthless. I have become more aware of my thoughts and understand how the enemy of our souls can use our thoughts to influence our emotions, and then our actions. Now I stand on the truth of my identity in Christ, and of what’s written in God’s Word to combat these intrusive thoughts. I don’t feel so stuck anymore. BCTI has changed my outlook on life in many ways for the better.

When I came in contact with BCTI a few years ago, my primary method for growing in Christ and discipling men was a biblical 12 step format. I had been using that format, with approximately 10% success rate, for almost 30 years. I was only helping men with addiction problems. My wife, not being and addict or alcoholic, was not involved except for the friendships that developed as a part of the ministry. And it took anywhere from a few months to a year or longer to lead a man through the steps.

Since switching to the BCTI Steps to Freedom, success rate is 100% for those who complete the steps. Completion is accomplished in a few weeks. The program is designed for anyone and everyone, so we minister to all types people/problems. And my wife ministers right alongside me, which has proven very beneficial to our marriage/relationship.
